Description
Urad chilka keeps a portion of the outer skin, which adds fibre, colour, and some extra minerals. Organically grown, free of pesticide residues. It softens during cooking but retains more structure than dhuli versions, giving a layered texture. High in protein, particularly useful for vegetarian diets, with good amounts of iron, B‑vitamins and essential minerals. Flavor is earthy, slightly pungent. Excellent when used in temperings or in mixed pulse dals. Also used in South Indian dishes and for savory snacks. Grown with love on our farms in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
